Tyre Manufacturing Plant

Mexico

Project Overview

This 300,000 sq ft tyre manufacturing facility in Mexico was developed to support high-volume industrial production within a complex operational environment.

The facility includes production areas, utility spaces, structural systems, mechanical equipment, and extensive MEP infrastructure required to support manufacturing operations.

For an industrial facility of this scale, accurate and coordinated building information is important for engineering review, facility planning, maintenance activities, and future expansion.

OneClick BIM developed a coordinated LOD 300 Revit BIM model to provide stakeholders with a structured digital representation of the facility and its interconnected building systems.

OneClick BIM's Scope

OneClick BIM was responsible for developing a multi-disciplinary LOD 300 Revit BIM model for the manufacturing facility.

The project scope included:

  • LOD 300 BIM Modelling

  • Industrial Facility BIM Modelling

  • Revit BIM Development

  • Structural Steel Modelling

  • Mechanical Equipment Modelling

  • HVAC BIM Modelling

  • Cable Tray Modelling

  • Multi-Disciplinary BIM Coordination

  • Engineering Retrofit Support

  • Facility Expansion Planning Support

The model brought together the facility's structural, mechanical, and building service information within a coordinated BIM environment.

Key Challenge

The primary challenge was coordinating the dense network of structural systems, production-related equipment, mechanical services, and utility infrastructure required within a large manufacturing facility.

These interconnected systems needed to be represented accurately within a single BIM environment while maintaining sufficient detail for engineering review and future planning.

OneClick BIM addressed this through a structured industrial BIM modelling workflow, bringing multiple disciplines together within a coordinated Revit environment and improving visibility across the facility's major systems.

OneClick BIM's Workflow

Engineering Information Review

Available engineering documentation, facility layouts, and discipline-specific inputs were reviewed to establish the modelling requirements.

Industrial BIM Model Development

Structural steel frameworks, mechanical equipment, HVAC systems, cable trays and supporting building infrastructure were developed within Revit at LOD 300.

Multi-Disciplinary Coordination

The different building systems were brought together within a coordinated BIM environment to maintain consistency between disciplines.

Model Review

Coordination reviews were carried out throughout the modelling process to check system relationships, model consistency and alignment with the available project requirements.

Digital Facility Documentation

The completed model established a structured digital representation of the manufacturing facility for engineering review, planning, and future development activities.

Final BIM Delivery

OneClick BIM delivered a coordinated LOD 300 Revit BIM model covering the structural, mechanical, and MEP systems of the 300,000 sq ft tyre manufacturing facility.

The final model incorporated structural steel, mechanical equipment, HVAC infrastructure, cable trays, and supporting building systems within a multi-disciplinary BIM environment.

The resulting model provided a reliable digital foundation for facility documentation, engineering review, retrofit studies, and future expansion planning.
