Oil Plant Facility

Saudi Arabia

Project Overview

The Oil Plant project involved developing an accurate BIM model of an existing industrial oil processing facility in Saudi Arabia using point cloud data. The objective was to create a coordinated digital representation of the plant's equipment and MEP services to support future maintenance, engineering coordination, and facility management.

OneClick BIM developed an LOD 300 BIM model that enabled project stakeholders to access reliable existing-condition information while improving documentation accuracy and multidisciplinary coordination across the industrial facility.

OneClick BIM's Scope

OneClick BIM was responsible for converting point cloud data into a coordinated BIM model of the existing oil plant.

The project scope included:

  • LOD 300 BIM Modelling

  • Point Cloud to BIM Conversion

  • Equipment Modelling

  • MEP Services Modelling

  • Existing Conditions Documentation

  • Coordinated BIM Model Development

The coordinated model served as a reliable digital reference for engineering and operational activities.

Key Challenge

Industrial oil processing facilities contain densely packed equipment and interconnected MEP systems that require highly accurate digital documentation. The challenge was to develop a coordinated BIM model from point cloud data while maintaining accuracy across equipment layouts and building services to support future maintenance and engineering projects.

OneClick BIM's Workflow

Point Cloud Assessment

Point cloud data was reviewed to identify existing equipment, MEP services, and modelling requirements.

BIM Model Development

A coordinated LOD 300 BIM model was developed by integrating equipment and MEP services into a unified digital environment.

Coordination Review

The model underwent quality assurance and coordination reviews to verify accuracy, system alignment, and consistency with the captured site conditions.

Model Validation

The completed BIM model was validated to ensure it provided reliable documentation for future engineering and operational requirements.

Final BIM Delivery

OneClick BIM delivered a coordinated LOD 300 BIM model developed from point cloud data, providing an accurate digital representation of the facility's equipment and MEP services. The deliverables supported engineering coordination, maintenance planning, and long-term asset management.
