Project Overview
The Kuwait New Maternity Hospital is a major healthcare development accommodating approximately 780 beds with a built-up area of 290,806 m². The project required comprehensive BIM modelling to support construction coordination, detailed documentation, and the delivery of accurate shop and as-built drawings for the structural and MEP systems.
OneClick BIM developed coordinated LOD 400 BIM models that enhanced multidisciplinary coordination, improved documentation accuracy, and supported efficient project execution throughout the construction lifecycle.
OneClick BIM's Scope
OneClick BIM was responsible for developing coordinated BIM models and producing construction-ready documentation for the healthcare facility.
The project scope included:
• LOD 400 BIM Modelling
• Structural Modelling
• MEP Services Modelling
• Shop Drawing Production
• As-Built Drawing Development
• Coordinated BIM Model Development
The coordinated BIM model served as a reliable digital reference throughout construction and project handover.
Key Challenge
Large healthcare facilities involve highly coordinated structural and MEP systems that must meet strict construction and operational requirements. The challenge was to maintain accurate coordination across multiple building services while producing detailed shop and as-built documentation to support construction, commissioning, and long-term facility management.
OneClick BIM's Workflow
Project Information Review
Project documentation and design information were reviewed to establish modelling standards and project deliverables.
BIM Model Development
Coordinated LOD 400 BIM models were developed for the structural framework and all MEP services.
Coordination Review
The multidisciplinary models underwent coordination and quality reviews to verify accuracy and resolve potential conflicts before documentation.
Drawing Production
Detailed shop drawings and as-built drawings were generated directly from the coordinated BIM model to support construction and final project handover.
Final BIM Delivery
OneClick BIM delivered coordinated LOD 400 BIM models together with detailed shop drawings and as-built documentation for the Kuwait New Maternity Hospital. The deliverables improved construction coordination, enhanced documentation quality, and provided an accurate digital record of the completed healthcare facility.
