Project Overview
The Jaipur International Airport Ltd project involved Scan-to-BIM and Asset Information Modelling services to support the facility's long-term asset management. Using laser-scanned data, OneClick BIM developed LOD-500 Architecture, Structure, and MEPF models, coordinated through clash detection, and packaged into a data-rich Asset Information Model with COBie data and an integrated GIS model—giving the airport a dependable digital record of its built assets for both immediate coordination and ongoing facility management.
OneClick BIM's Scope
OneClick BIM was engaged to deliver end-to-end Scan-to-BIM services covering modelling, coordination, data extraction, and asset information development for the airport facility.
The project scope included:
• Scan and creation of LOD-500 Architecture and Structure models from scanned data
• Scan and creation of LOD-500 MEPF models from scanned data
• Clash detection and coordination reporting
• Quantity extraction from the coordinated model
• COBie data development for facility management
• Creation of a full Asset Information Model (AIM)
• Scan and creation of a GIS model
Key Challenge
The primary challenge was translating raw scanned data of a large, operational airport facility into highly detailed LOD-500 models across multiple disciplines, while ensuring the resulting information was structured and accurate enough to support facility management and asset tracking long after project handover. Coordinating architecture, structure, and MEPF systems at this level of detail—and layering in COBie and GIS data—required rigorous quality control at every stage.
OneClick BIM's Workflow
Scan Data Review & Processing
Scanned point cloud data was reviewed and processed to establish an accurate base for modelling across all disciplines.
LOD-500 Model Development
Detailed Architecture, Structure, and MEPF models were developed from the scanned data to LOD-500 standard.
Clash Detection & Coordination
The coordinated model was reviewed for clashes across disciplines, with findings compiled into structured coordination reports.
Quantity Extraction
Quantities were extracted from the coordinated model to support project and facility management needs.
COBie Data & Asset Information Modelling
COBie data was developed and integrated into a comprehensive Asset Information Model to support facility management.
GIS Model Development
A GIS model was created from the scanned data to provide spatial and geographic context for the facility's assets.
Final BIM Delivery
OneClick BIM delivered a fully coordinated set of LOD-500 models, clash detection reports, extracted quantities, and an integrated Asset Information Model with COBie data and GIS model for Jaipur International Airport Ltd. The deliverables were published on Autodesk Construction Cloud, giving stakeholders centralised, up-to-date access to models, drawings, and coordination data.
